지붕으로 올라간 고르곤 메두사

Medusa, the snake-haired gorgon who turned onlookers to stone, is one of the best-known characters from classical mythology. Her terrifying face was believed to protect against harm and appears widely in Greek and Roman art. This architectural device was once fitted to the roof of a temple or house to repel evil forces.

쳐다보는 이를 돌로 만든 뱀 머리 고르곤snake-haired gorgon인 메두사Medusa는 고전 신화에서 가장 잘 알려진 인물 중 하나다.

그 무서운 얼굴은 해를 막아준다고 믿었으며 그리스와 로마 미술에서 널리 나타난다.

이 건축 장치는 한때 악의 세력을 물리치기 위해 사원이나 집의 지붕에 설치되었다.
